Leave the Ashes Behind
Release is where the quiet ends. It's not about forcing forgiveness or rushing to "move on" β it's about setting down what you've been carrying in secret: the old belief, the resentment, the exhausting performance of being fine.
Once a day, morning or night, finish one sentence in a notebook or your phone: "Today I am setting down ___." It might be a worry, a grudge, an old label someone gave you. Don't fix it or plan around it. Just name it and set it down. Some days that's the whole practice, and that's enough.
Write a full, unfiltered letter to the chapter, person, or moment that hurt you. Say everything. Then burn it, shred it, or simply close the notebook. It was never meant to be sent β the release was for you.
Choose one thing you've never said to another living person, and say it to someone in your RISE Circle this week. This is the exact moment shame loses its grip β the moment someone hears it and doesn't flinch.
Clear one physical space β a drawer, a closet, an inbox β of something tied to the old chapter. Clearing something outside you often loosens something inside you.
On knowing what to let go of, and why an ending isn't a failure.
Releasing the exhausting performance of "having it together."
Permission to stop being who everyone else needed you to be.
What did surviving teach you that you haven't told anyone yet?
Write down the answer and keep it somewhere safe. You may not see it yet, but the thing you're hiding β the fact that you made it through β is the first evidence of a strength you didn't know you had. You'll need this page again when you reach Elevate.
